To help you make the most of your visit, here is some practical information about the workshop and Ischia.

 

• To introduce eTwinning ambassadors to the new eTwinning Portal, that will be launched by the end of September 2008, and to provide hands on experience on the new facilities and suggestions on how to make the most of them

• To present and discuss the theory that lies behind the new eTwinning Portal (social networking, community of practice etc.)

• To equip participants to promote and support the eTwinning action in their own countries

• To set up an European eTwinning Ambassadors’ Network

The intended audience for this PDW is eTwinning Ambassadors that have been selected and invited by their own National Support Service and NSS member (ca. 80 ambassadors of which 20 Italian + 20 NSS member). If you have any doubt whether you are entitled to take part in this event, please contact your National Support Service first.


Visit eTwinning ambassadors in Europe

The workshop starts with the registration on 16th October (16:30-18:30) and welcome international buffet (thanks for bringing typical food from your country!). Indoor activities (workshops and plenary sessions) will end at 13:30 on 18th October. In the afternoon we will organize some social networking activities and team work in order to strengthen the sense of community belonging among eTwinning Ambassadors. This second part of the PDW is “optional” and you can decide whether you want to stay or not. Cost of the extra package is € 150,00 and includes a boat trip around the island, a dinner and one extra night. You will be asked to pay for this packet when you arrive at the hotel. Please contact your NSS to check whether you are entitled to reimbursement for this.
In the on line registration you will be asked if you want to stay this extra night. Please make sure you have all details clear before clicking “yes”. Once you click yes you will be asked to pay for it on arrival.

For participation requests, eligibility questions, extra package reservation and any other attendance issue please contact the eTwinning National Support Service in your country.

Bring your swimming suit and cap! The Hotel has many enjoyable and warm swimming pools!

Please bring also some typical food or drink from your country, we will have a welcome international buffet on 16th September!

Accommodation

We will book accommodation for participants either from Thursday 16th to Saturday 18th October (standard package, 2 nights) or from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th 2008 (standard packet + “optional package”), according to your choice in the registration form.

IMPORTANT: If you would like to extend your stay beyond 16th-19th October, you should make your own arrangements and deal with the hotel directly. You will appreciate that we cannot take responsibility for booking any additional nights.
If you want to come accompanied, you will have to pay the difference (€ 55,00 per night) to the hotel at their arrival and tell us in advance via mail, so that we can book a double room for you: eventi.etwinning@indire.it
